Google Gmail

Among a few search engines on the market there is only one REAL search engine - Google. It offers so much that it'd be difficult to write about it at once; therefore I'll focus on one feature at a time, let it be Gmail today.

If you haven't got Gmail account I'd strongly advice you to acquire one. There are a few benefits of having your emails delivered to Gmail, the first and the greatest is the capacity of the account, e.g. I am notified that my account stores 2725MB of files and having nearly 1000 emails in my account only 4% of its capacity has been used so far. It confirms what Gmail says about Gmail: no need to delete your email ever.

If you have to find an important email sent...you don't remember when... it's easier then ever to search for it; just type in in the search box a subject, key word or anything that's in connection with that email, click Search Mail and the search result will be right there at the computer screen.

Another great feature that I use very often is Apply Label feature. It's great for sorting emails in order to find them even quicker. It's very useful especially if you set up a Filter to apply your desired label to a specific emails on a specific topics; once the filter is set up it labels emails automatically.

Replying to emails at Gmail is easy too; there is an empty box at the bottom of each email you receive where you type in your new message, check your spelling, format it and save or sent it. Gmail saves your messages automatically into the draft folder every 2 min .

What differ Gmail from other email accounts is how user-friendly it is. Let's take a reply email you receive from someone: in Hotmail or Yahoo it'd be displayed as an individual email on the top of list in the inbox. On the contrary, in Gmail the reply email is imputed or merged directly to the original email and both are displayed together; at the end of the day this saves you time on searching for that email.

Composing a new email is simplified too. Start typing in a name or email of a recipient and after a few first letters typed into 'To' field a drop-down list of relevant names opens letting you choose the one quickly.

If you have a Google Calendar, an email reminder for each task will be sent to your inbox at a specified time.

At Gmail everything is at hand, you don't have to navigate away to perform tasks like reply to email, forward an email. Your inbox can have 100,000 emails and you'll get away with it and most of all it's so easily searchable. Get Gmail ASAP, it's an e-mail client of the 21 - Century.
