Masters of their domains

Have you heard about type-in traffic, or, in Wall Street jargon, direct navigation?

I found a most interesting article at CNNmoney.com which reveals that millions of Internet surfers don't use search engines at all. Instead, they type what they're looking for right into the top of their Web browser – directly into the address line.

Although unconfirmed, the estimates are that as many as 15 per cent of searches come from type-ins. Considering that, 150 million out of the estimated 1 billion Internet users use type-ins. (According to the Computer Industry Almanac's statistics, released in January 2006, the number of Internet users in the world will reach 2 billion in 2011, 100% growth over late 2005).

That is a lot.

Click here to read the article, learn new ideas, and discover a new tool for making money online.

PS. Have you ever used type-in yourself? Leave a comment.

In Online Marketing Every Little Change Helps

In Online Marketing Every Little Change Helps.

Once you have your website set up and ready to sell it is not the end of making changes to it. Don't only look at aesthetics or ease of navigation. The web page you design may look pretty, have good sales copy and be easy to navigate, which are all very important, but may still bring nothing in revenue or merely breakeven. On the other hand it may sell well from the start.

Whatever the scenario, the next step you should put your online venture through is testing. This will help you establish real knowledge about what works best for your business and ultimately turn visitors into buyers and increase conversion. No more assumptions, you will learn how to make your business succeed by testing it inside-out.

Testing, in regard to online marketing, is a broad field. The first element which must be tested and tweaked is the web site itself:

  1. Headline Text
  2. Headline Size or Colour
  3. Subheading
  4. Unique Value Proposition
  5. Link Text
  6. Button Text
  7. "Call to Action" Text
  8. Background Colour
  9. Logo Colours or Design
  10. Additional or Fewer Images
  11. Number of Text Columns
  12. Column or Page Width
  13. Sequence of Page Copy

The list doesn't end there. There are many more elements of your online venture that needs testing and if you don't do it, chances are that you will lose visitors, customers, serious money and your own time and energy. And that is not your goal.

I have put together an ebook which further explains what you should test and how to automate this process. It will be available for download within a couple of days.

Bricks And Mortar Goes Online.

I clapped my hands when I read this article, it's so encouraging! And it proves that when marketing online, assume nothing, test everything. There will be more about testing (web site, headlines, sales copy, email campaign) in the future posts, but in the meantime please read this tale of one pharmacy employee in Texas who persuaded his boss to set up a web site HealthyLifePharmacy.com and where did it lead him. Internet Marketing Bible - "The Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet"

There are millions of Web sites out there, hundreds of millions of Web pages and about the same amount of ideas conveyed through them -- so how can someone who is searching for information be sure the information found is of some value?

Here I was, a confused searcher without direction, surrounded solely by those who tried to come across as experts in online marketing but suceeded only in making me more confused.

This was the case until one day I found Corey Rudl's web site. It was a few years ago now and I cannot remember how I made this discovery, but I can honestly say I discovered a treasure! His information product is 1000+ pages covering every corner and aspect of Internet Marketing, in detail and most importantly written in clear, understandable language, logically constructed, and directed at people like myself who knew nothing about any type of marketing.

Having read the two chunky binders not only did I learn all about Online Marketing -- I also became confident, he made me realise what at the time was so important- that I CAN do it! I can establish my own Internet business and make it profitable!

Corey's first online venture was his ebook which he was selling via his web site www.carsecrets.com . That was then when he started testing different sales copy, headlines etc and discovered that the implimentation of just a small change can bring great results in revenue, overnight! That website earn him thousands of dollars.

He was a founder of The Internet Marketing Center where he developed and tested many other products and ideas, earning himself the title of Internet Guru- and $40 million...!

Unfortunately, I'll never have chance to meet this great man in person. Corey died in a car accident last year. It was a shocking news which I couldn't believe at first. He was a fantastic mentor who inspired, and still inspires, thousands. I personally followed and benefitted from his genius by accommodating his personal philosophies for business success:

* Choose success.
* Test something new today.
* Make opportunities to learn.
* Seek out great teachers.
* Define your goals, and take action to reach them.

I believe Corey Rudl will inspire you too.

Welcome to Online Selling Tools Blog!

I am a self taught Internet marketer. If someone had asked me a few years back whether I could see marketing becoming my passion, let alone marketing on the Internet! I'd have laughed, but then a few years back I didn't even have a computer.

And now here I am announcing my exciting news to you: from this day forth I will be constantly posting tips & techniques on how get lots of traffic to your website, turn your visitors into hungry buyers, and ultimately your website into money generating machine running on auto pilot...

It doesn't matter whether you are just starting out or even if you are a 'non believer' or don't have a website at the moment, I know many others who started just like you and I - they had no PC, no HTML knowledge and yet became online marketing winners often earning six-figure-income.

It is from them that I caught the Internet bug and became hungry to learn how financial independence can be achieved from the comfort of my own house.

And I have learnt that not only it is achievable but it is fun as well!

If there is one piece of advice I can give you after all that I have learnt it is- take action now! the sooner you start the better. Technology is moving fast and the word is spreading. It is clear now that the Internet is here to stay, but more and more people are becoming knowledgeable in this field so that means tougher competition too.

Don't miss my next post when I'll let you in on the one information product which saved me time and money by answering all my questions, and which I have consequently titled the "Internet Marketing Bible". I couldn't do without it!
